Sight Support Ryedale provides a network of support, activities and friendship to help alleviate the social, emotional and practical problems that living with sight loss can bring.
Julie Atkinson, Chief Officer of Sight Support Ryedale said “The aim of our charity is to provide social activities which bring sight impaired people together to receive information, support and to forge new friendships.
We do this by holding fortnightly social meetings, excursions, gentle exercise groups and a monthly IT support group. We provide transport to all our activities which reduces the social isolation so often experienced by people facing the challenges of sight loss.
We are grateful to the Pickering Rotary Club for choosing to support our charity at this event; 100% of the monies raised on 4th February will directly benefit sight impaired people living in Ryedale.”
Hugh Morgan President of Pickering Rotary Club Said” We are delighted to be able to support a local Ryedale charity which provides so much practical support and help to those who are visually impaired”.
If you like a good curry and you want to help raise some money for a very worthwhile cause, then this event is for you.
If you would like to attend, please call the Spice 4U 01751 473224 or Sight Support 01653 698860. Tickets are £20.00 for three courses with a selection of dishes.”
