Age UK Cheque Presentation

Bob Simonds came to talk to us one very snowy evening when just 14 of us attended. However, the lack of numbers did not reduce the impact of Bob’s very informative and humorous talk about the services that Age UK Scarborough and Ryedale District provide to our local community.

Hugh Said “ Sue and I have received very detailed and helpful advice from Sarah (Community Link Worker) in helping to resolve quite complicated matters relating to the estate of Sue’s late mum.”

The Link Workers provide information & advice and can look into what you are entitled to, whether it is benefits you are missing out on or services that could help you.

They can check through your paperwork and help you to understand what they are telling you, or look into clubs being held in your local area and see if they would be of any interest to you.

We aim to help you stay independent and in your own home for as long as possible.

Chief Executive Officer – Bob Simonds
I manage the day to day running of the organisation reporting directly to the Board of Trustees.

I joined the Age UK Scarborough & District in July 2014 and have been working in the Third Sector for nearly twenty years.

I bring my experience of Strategic development, Planning, Fundraising and Partnership building to the organisation.

I want to see our services grow so that we will be able to reach all people over the age of 50 who need our help.
